Planetary Ball Mills
Dual Planetary Ball Mill
The SXQM uses an additional planetary stage: a main disc drives smaller planetary assemblies. This changes the motion and energy input of the jars relative to a conventional planetary arrangement.
Fit for your experiment
Consider it for experiments that require a different milling intensity. Increased energy input also changes heating and wear, so assess temperature and contamination alongside particle size.
How to use this specification
The disc revolves while the grinding jars rotate about their own axes. Media impacts and friction act on the sample. Speed, duration, loading and jar material jointly influence the result.
Before selecting a configuration
- Define feed size, target particle size and acceptable wear contamination.
- Choose jar capacity from the working sample load, leaving room for media movement.
- Confirm balancing, clamping and any cooling or atmosphere option for the exact model.
Key features
- Compound motion from main and subsidiary discs increases the range of media movement.
- Media impacts, friction and shear act together on the sample.
- Four jars support parallel experimental batches.
- Variable speed, timing and direction reversal support process development.
Construction details
- A main planetary disc carries two subsidiary disc groups.
- Precision gears transmit the multiple stages of planetary motion.
- A reinforced welded frame supports the assembly.
- A variable-frequency controller sets the operating schedule.
Configuration notes
Match jar capacity, media charge and balancing to the selected model. Evaluate the target fineness on the actual material instead of treating the source particle-size claim as a universal specification.
Technical specifications
Compare the exact model and configuration. Nominal vessel volume is not the usable sample load. Particle-size results depend on the material and process; confirm critical values in the quotation.
