Planetary Ball Mills
Low-Temperature Planetary Ball Mill
A planetary grinding system paired with refrigerated air circulation to manage heat around the grinding jars. It is intended for experiments in which temperature rise affects the sample.
Fit for your experiment
Cooling-space temperature is not the same as sample temperature. Confirm the required temperature, ambient conditions and measurement method; this model should not be confused with a liquid-nitrogen system.
How to use this specification
The disc revolves while the grinding jars rotate about their own axes. Media impacts and friction act on the sample. Speed, duration, loading and jar material jointly influence the result.
Before selecting a configuration
- Define feed size, target particle size and acceptable wear contamination.
- Choose jar capacity from the working sample load, leaving room for media movement.
- Confirm balancing, clamping and any cooling or atmosphere option for the exact model.
Key features
- Recirculating cold air removes heat from the milling enclosure.
- The cooling method avoids routine liquid-nitrogen replenishment.
- Cooling can be combined with different planetary layouts where compatible.
- Variable-frequency control supports changes in milling speed and schedule.
Construction details
- A compressor-based refrigeration unit supplies cooled air.
- Air ducts guide recirculation through the grinding area.
- The enclosure connects the cooling package to the planetary machine.
- Precision gearing and the drive system maintain the milling motion.
Configuration notes
The source describes a cooled working environment, not a guaranteed sample-core temperature. Confirm the measuring point, ambient conditions, heat load and compatible mill model before specifying a temperature range.
Technical specifications
Compare the exact model and configuration. Nominal vessel volume is not the usable sample load. Particle-size results depend on the material and process; confirm critical values in the quotation.
