Planetary Ball Mills
Vertical Square Planetary Ball Mill
The square-body XQM series combines a central rotating disc with independently rotating jars for batch grinding and mixing. The range includes different capacities, so the housing style alone does not define sample throughput.
Fit for your experiment
Use the model table to select a laboratory or pilot configuration. Confirm the usable sample load, jar set and electrical supply for the exact model.
How to use this specification
The disc revolves while the grinding jars rotate about their own axes. Media impacts and friction act on the sample. Speed, duration, loading and jar material jointly influence the result.
Before selecting a configuration
- Define feed size, target particle size and acceptable wear contamination.
- Choose jar capacity from the working sample load, leaving room for media movement.
- Confirm balancing, clamping and any cooling or atmosphere option for the exact model.
Key features
- Four jar stations support parallel batch grinding.
- Dry and wet processing can be evaluated with appropriate jars and media.
- Vacuum or protective-atmosphere work requires compatible sealed vessels.
- PLC touchscreen control is available according to the selected configuration.
Construction details
- The square housing provides a rigid enclosure for the planetary assembly.
- Dedicated clamps locate the jars securely.
- Precision gearing drives the planetary motion.
- Larger production configurations may include lifting and vibrating discharge equipment for jar handling.
Configuration notes
The supplied notes cover both laboratory and production versions. Confirm the exact capacity, welded frame, controller, lifting and discharge equipment in the quotation rather than assuming these are fitted to every model.
Application requirement
Central control for multiple planetary mills
These notes describe application requirements and proposed configurations; they do not establish delivery or validated performance.
Explore the construction details
See the arrangements described for this series. Photographs illustrate configurations; confirm the exact machine, controller, jars and supplied accessories in the quotation.

Square-body enclosure
The square-body layout encloses the planetary assembly. Choose the exact machine size from the model table.

Jar holding arrangement
Dedicated clamps locate the vessels on the planetary assembly. Match the jar and clamp set to the selected model.

Production-version enclosure
A welded steel enclosure is used on the illustrated production configuration. This construction is model-dependent across the XQM range.

Lifting and discharge configuration
Lifting and vibrating discharge equipment can be specified for suitable production models. Confirm the handling package, jar mass and installation space in the quotation.

Production control panel
This panel illustrates the production-version control arrangement. Confirm the supplied controller and enabled functions for the exact model.
Technical specifications
Compare the exact model and configuration. Nominal vessel volume is not the usable sample load. Particle-size results depend on the material and process; confirm critical values in the quotation.
