Planetary Ball Mills
Heavy-Duty Horizontal Planetary Ball Mill
This WXQM configuration supports the horizontal planetary assembly at both ends to accommodate heavier grinding loads. It is intended for pilot work and larger experimental batches.
Fit for your experiment
The jars follow planetary motion; this is not a continuous, multi-chamber drum mill. Check lifting, jar handling, floor space and power requirements for the selected configuration.
How to use this specification
The disc revolves while the grinding jars rotate about their own axes. Media impacts and friction act on the sample. Speed, duration, loading and jar material jointly influence the result.
Before selecting a configuration
- Define feed size, target particle size and acceptable wear contamination.
- Choose jar capacity from the working sample load, leaving room for media movement.
- Confirm balancing, clamping and any cooling or atmosphere option for the exact model.
Key features
- The heavy-duty layout supports larger experimental loads and pilot batches.
- Horizontal compound motion helps redistribute settling material.
- Compatible jars can be selected for different capacities and contact materials.
- Lifting and discharge equipment can reduce manual jar handling.
Construction details
- Two support discs carry the horizontal assembly at both ends.
- The reinforced support arrangement distributes the load through the frame.
- Heat-treated, precision-machined gears form the transmission.
- The handling package can combine lifting with vibrating discharge.
Configuration notes
Confirm the combined mass of jar, balls and sample, together with the clamp and lifting arrangement. PLC controls and handling accessories must be specified for the exact configuration.
Application requirement
Heavy-jar support for mechanical alloying trials
These notes describe application requirements and proposed configurations; they do not establish delivery or validated performance.
Explore the construction details
See the arrangements described for this series. Photographs illustrate configurations; confirm the exact machine, controller, jars and supplied accessories in the quotation.

Horizontal grinding vessels
Horizontally mounted vessels support larger experimental and pilot batches. Check the combined mass of jars, media and sample.

Support at both ends
The dual-disc support arrangement carries the horizontal assembly at both ends. The selected vessel size and loading must match the support and drive ratings.

Lifting and discharge equipment
The illustrated handling package assists with jar lifting and material discharge. Confirm the lifting, braking and discharge equipment included with the order.
Technical specifications
Compare the exact model and configuration. Nominal vessel volume is not the usable sample load. Particle-size results depend on the material and process; confirm critical values in the quotation.
